Cloves 

Cloves are the flower buds of the clove tree, an evergreen also known as Syzygium aromaticum. Found in both whole and ground forms, this versatile spice can be used to season pot roasts, add flavor to hot beverages, and bring spicy warmth to cookies and cakes.

Color: Dark brown in hue with a reddish tinge.

Taste: Has a sweet taste with a bit of warmth.

Aroma: Has a spicy and warm scent.  

Storing Conditions: The product must be stored in an airtight container and far away from sunlight and any moisture. The product can be refrigerated but ursers are not advised to due to a chance of contamination that might occur. 

Shelf life: 3 - 4 years under storage conditions in accordance with the recommended storage.  

Benefits of Turmeric: 

Antioxidant Content: Antioxidants are compounds that reduce oxidative stress, which can contribute to the development of chronic disease. Cloves also contain a compound called eugenol, which has been shown to act as a natural antioxidant. A study found that eugenol stopped oxidative damage caused by free radicals five times more effectively than vitamin E, another potent antioxidant. Including cloves in a diet along with other antioxidant-rich foods can help improve overall health.

Reduce Inflammation: Cloves include multiple compounds that are linked to anti-inflammatory properties. Eugenol is the most important of these compounds. Eugenol has been shown to reduce the inflammatory response in the body, reducing the risk of diseases such as arthritis and helping to manage symptoms. 

Improve Liver Function: Cloves may also promote better liver function. Some trials have shown that the eugenol found in cloves can help reduce signs of liver cirrhosis and fatty liver disease. It may also improve general liver function. 

Antimicrobial: Cloves have been found to have strong antimicrobial properties against a number of bacterial and fungal strains including E Coli, Staph aureus and potentially vaginal candidiasis. 
 
Maintain Blood Sugar Levels: Extracts from cloves imitate insulin in certain ways and might help in controlling blood sugar levels. One study found that cloves may have a beneficial effect on diabetes as part of a plant-based diet. 

Improve Oral Health: Researchers are studying clove oil as a natural method for maintaining oral health due to its effect on plaque, gingivitis, and bacteria in the mouth. Researchers compared the effectiveness of an herbal mouth rinse containing clove, basil, and tea tree oil with a commercially available essential oil mouth rinse. Both mouth rinses were effective against plaque and gingivitis, showing that they may help decrease oral inflammation and bacteria. The researchers also found that the mouth rinse that contained clove decreased the number of harmful bacteria more than the commercial mouth rinse.
